Audience

Audience & Segmentation

An audience includes all users within your source, whether they are identified (logged-in users) or anonymous (users without an account or active session).

You can narrow down your audience by applying filters based on:

  • Dates: When used with other filters, it checks the time the action was performed. If used alone, it applies to the creation date of the user.
  • Personal Information: Attributes like name, email, device type, language, and other profile details provided by you.
  • Group Information: Attributes related to the companies the users are associated with.
  • Survey Responses: Users who have responded to or skipped specific surveys and questions.
  • Custom Events: User interactions you define, such as completing a purchase or watching a video.
  • Automatically Collected Events: Actions captured by the SDK without additional setup, including page views, clicks, and scroll behavior.
  • Number of Sessions: The total number of times the user has visited your application.
  • Number of Solicitations: The total number of times the user has seen a survey.

With these filters, you can build cohorts—groups of users that meet specific criteria—and trigger targeted surveys based on their behavior or attributes.

Automatic Event Tracking

Once the SDK is installed, it begins collecting user activity data automatically, providing valuable insights into engagement and behavior:

  • On Web: The SDK tracks page transitions, clicks on elements, and scrolling actions.
  • On Mobile: It monitors screen (or view) changes to understand navigation patterns.

In addition to these automated events, you can manually define custom events to capture specific interactions that are critical to your business, such as adding items to a cart, completing a signup process, or interacting with specific features.

By combining automatic and custom events, you can create highly targeted audiences and deliver personalized survey experiences.

If you prefer not to collect this data, you can disable it in the source settings.
