audience
Audience & Segmentation
An audience consists of all users within your source, whether identified (logged-in users) or anonymous (users without an account or login session).
To refine your audience, you can apply filters based on:
- Creation Date: When the user was first recorded in your system.
- Personal Information: Attributes such as name, email, location, or other profile details (passed by yourself).
- Survey Responses: Users who have answered or skipped specific surveys and answers.
- Custom Events: User interactions you define, such as completing a purchase or watching a video.
- Automatically Collected Events: Actions that the SDK captures without additional configuration, including page views, clicks, and scroll behavior.
With these filters, you can build cohorts—groups of users that meet specific criteria—and trigger targeted surveys based on their behavior or attributes.
Automatic Event Tracking
Once the SDK is installed, it begins collecting user activity data automatically, providing valuable insights into engagement and behavior:
- On Web: The SDK tracks page transitions, clicks on elements, and scrolling actions.
- On Mobile: It monitors screen (or view) changes to understand navigation patterns.
In addition to these automated events, you can manually define custom events to capture specific interactions that are critical to your business, such as adding items to a cart, completing a signup process, or interacting with specific features.
By combining automatic and custom events, you can create highly targeted audiences and deliver personalized survey experiences.
If you prefer not to collect this data, you can disable it in the source settings.
