Troubleshooting Validation Failures​

If your validation fails, there could be various reasons. Please check your navigation console for these common errors:

  • Refuse to load the script ‘https://script.told.club’ because it violates the following Content Security Policy …: This occurs if your site or web application uses a content security policy (CSP). Refer to our documentation on making Told compatible with CSP: Content Security Policies (CSP)
  • The project ID does not exist.: This indicates that the source ID entered in the init function is incorrect. Find your SOURCE_ID (project ID) on your source's installation page.
  • Invalid hostname: This error suggests that the domain entered on the installation page doesn't match the one where you installed the Told script. Double-check your site URL. For local sites, use http://localhost.
  • No console errors: If there are no errors in the console, first ensure your survey is published. If it is, there might be an issue with your trigger configuration.
