Data Privacy & Right to Erasure
Under GDPR Article 17, users have the right to request deletion of their personal data. This page explains how respondents can exercise this right.
For respondents
If you've participated in a survey and want to exercise your right to data erasure:
1. Identify yourself
To process your request, we need to verify your identity. Your consent identifier is available in the consent section of the survey you completed.
2. Send a request
Send an email to the survey creator (the company that displayed the survey to you) or directly to Told:

I wish to exercise my right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR.
My consent identifier is: [YOUR_IDENTIFIER]
Please delete all personal data associated with this identifier.
Thank you.
3. Processing
Your request will be processed and your data deleted. You'll receive confirmation once complete.
For team admins
As a Told team admin, you may receive data deletion requests from your users. To process them:
- Locate the user in your Audience section using their identifier or email
- Delete the user's data from your source
- Confirm deletion to the requester
