Message

The Message type displays a static title and message to the respondent — no answer is expected. Useful for introductions, transitions between sections, important notes, or call-to-action screens with a button.

This page documents the fields and options that are specific to the Message type. For the parts that are common to all question types, see Questions, Welcome and Thank you.

info

Unlike other question types, Message has no Required toggle — there is nothing to answer.

Title and Message fields

The editor uses different labels than other question types:

  • Title (instead of "Question") — the main heading shown to the respondent. Has an Improve button next to it (AI suggestion via Cerebro).
  • Message (instead of "Description") — the body text.

Color

Next to the Title textbox is a color picker icon (a paint bucket). Click it to change the color theme of the message — useful to draw attention or signal a specific tone.

Add a media

Same as other question types — attach an image or video.

Next to Add a media is an additional button: Add link. Click it to add a call-to-action button to your message.

When activated, a "Add a link through a button" section appears with two textboxes:

  • PASTE YOUR LINK — the URL the button will open (opens in a new window)
  • EDIT YOUR BUTTON LABEL — the label of the button

A trash icon at the top-right of the section lets you remove the link button.

"Want to redirect to your website or somewhere else? Just add your link and personalise the title of the button. Your link will open in a new window." — UI text
